How does First Response National Healthcare Training’s online certification program work?

First Response National Healthcare Training has developed an online ACLS and PALS certification program meant to meet the needs of busy professionals and those who would prefer to study and take the certification exam on their own schedule. After purchasing the certification course of choice, the customer will receive all training materials through their email. They can study these materials on their computer or print them out. First Response National Healthcare Training also provides an unlimited amount of online practice tests, which customers can take by logging into their account on the First Response National Healthcare Training website. When the customer feels that they are ready, they can log into the First Response National Healthcare Training website and take the certification exam. They will receive their results immediately upon completion of the test. A score of 80% is required to pass the test.

What happens if I fail the exam?

A score of 80% is required to pass the exam. All customers are allowed three separate attempts to pass the exam. If you fail your first exam, you are allowed two more tries. There is no time limit on when you must retake the test. We strongly encourage those who fail the exam to spend more time reviewing the study material provided and to take the practice test. If the exam is not passed in three tries, the customer will have to repurchase the certification program in order to attempt the certification exam again.

How will I know if I’ve passed the exam?

As soon as you finish the online certification exam, your score will be tallied and you will see your results. If you passed the exam (received a score of 80% or higher), you will immediately receive an official certification via email, which you can use to prove your new credential. A hard copy certification card will be mailed to you and should arrive within a few days of passing the test.
